This photograph, taken by the commercial photographic firm of Photo-Illustrators, depicts the annual Rittenhouse Square Flower Market.  Established in 1914, the organization holds a yearly flower market to raise money for local charities. Our Photo-Illustrators collection includes thousands of photographs of events, street scenes, buildings, and products taken by the company during its more than fifty years in business in Philadelphia.
