Our current Ben’s Lens shows the Methodist Orphanage’s main building constructed in 1879 at the edge of West Fairmount Park. The building, located at 4300 Monument Avenue, today houses family and social service outreach programs offered by the Methodist Church. Our image was taken circa 1904 by William C. Hornsby and is one of four photographs we recently received showing the orphanage and its young male residents.

This Ben’s Lens stumped all our loyal followers, but we thank everyone who ventured a guess.
